Read-In February 12, 2020 Peterson Elementary
To celebrate the National African American Read-In, UNCP students, faculty and staff read in local schools each semester. This February to honor African American authors and illustrators during Black History Month, we will visit Peterson Elementary School Wednesday, February 12th. During the Read-In, students, faculty and staff bring a book to share that honors African American authors and illustrators and reads the text with the elementary class. They can also continue the text through discussion and hands-on activities of their choice.
On the morning of the Read-In, we will gather at 8:30am at Peterson Elementary School and then go visit classrooms in 2 time slots - please sign up for one class in each column.
