This is a track meet hosted by the Braves Track Club. This is a club track meet with competitor school coming ready to race! Some of the competition include the club teams from East Carolina;Virginia Tech; UNC Chapel Hill; James Madison university; University of Virginia.
This meet will of course be held here at UNCP and we are looking for individuals that are interested in learning about Track and Field as well as being an integral part of the operation of this meet. You will be working under the supervision and advisement of Juwan Wrenn (J. Wrenn) as well as Shemar Brown.
The duties include Hurdle Crew, simply moving and rearranging hurdles before each race; Pit Crew, these individuals will be responsible for easily raking and measuring jumps; Timing Crew, will be working directly alongside Juwan Wrenn and you will be responsible for recording data. Lastly is the setup and breakdown; this will be the crew that helps prepare the meet and breakdown the meet as well.
On Friday, February 23rd, all volunteers must meet at the Track and Stadium to receive training on what exactly they will be doing. The meeting time will be at 5:00pm and this meeting is mandatory for all volunteers.
