The College of Arts & Sciences and the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center are collaborating on a conference style event called STEMville, which will be held on UNCP’s campus. One hundred 6-7th graders will attend a keynote address and participate in concurrent hands-on sessions on STEM topics.
Volunteers are needed to help with check-in/registration, assist presenters with handing out materials, escort or direct students to session locations, serve as “runners” to help with unforeseen issues that might arise, escort the keynote speaker, among other logistical activities. Individuals interested in assisting with the entire event should sign up for both shifts below. Volunteers will be asked to attend a short informational session prior to the event.
