Who We Are
Established in 1993 as one of North Carolina's first 12 Smart Start Partnerships and governed by a 22 member Board of Directors, the Cleveland County Partnership for Children is a non-profit 501 (c)3 that is proud to serve as the local administrative unit for North Carolina's nationally recognized Smart Start Initiative, which serves children from age birth to five and North Carolina's Pre-K Program, serving eligible four-year olds. In 2014, CCPFC was awarded a five year Federal grant to implement an Early Head Start program which serves children ages birth to three. In addition to the above, we also are the local Dolly Parton Imagination Library administrators for Cleveland County.
What We Do
The Cleveland County Partnership for Children promotes school readiness by planning and funding programs that help our young children arrive at Kindergarten ready for school success. We form collaborative partnerships with families, child care providers, schools, businesses, local government, agencies, organizations and the faith community to work together on behalf of young children and their families. Our main focus areas are: Early Childhood Education, Child Health and Safety, Family Support/Parent Education and Community Collaboration.
