Red Springs Middle School Reading Partnership

Red Springs Middle School Reading Partnership connects struggling and reluctant readers with UNCP students who can motivate and inspire their curiosity and interest in reading and learning. 

UNCP students of any and all majors are invited to participate--especially aspiring teachers (no matter the content area) and those who will work with children and adolescents in their future careers.

The Red Springs Middle School Partnership seeks to cultivate curiosity and commitment to education through mentoring and conversation with enthusiastic college students. 

Our hope is to expand the partnership eventually to include Red Springs High School students who can serve with UNCP students as reading partners and to expand opportunities for exchanges to include both in-person and online blogs.

Volunteer Reading Partners meet with individual students. 

Days and times are flexible but should become routine once established.
