Help our new Braves as they settle into their nests! This year, freshman move-in will be taking place on Friday, August 11th from 8am - 4pm. We encourage volunteers to sign up for as many shifts as possible! Volunteers will need to attend a training on August 10th (information to come soon).
UNCP gear is encouraged as well!
Volunteers will:
- Check in with the Drop-off Zone Facilitator to await a move-in assignment.
- Introduce yourself to new students and families, and unload their belongings at the direction of the facilitator.
- Move all items from the vehicle to the sidewalk location first. DO NOT take items to the room until the vehicle is completely unloaded, labeled, AND the vehicle has been relocated to parking.
- Aim for one trip per student. Before leaving the drop-off zone, confirm everything has been picked up with the family member, and travel together to the student’s room assignment. Please stick together as a team!
- Maximize your use of stairs. Please reserve the elevator for the use of dollies and those with mobility needs.
- Return as a team and check in with your assigned Drop-off Zone Facilitator.
- If you leave early for any reason, check out with the Volunteer Coordinator.
