Community Action Day is a day for UNCP students to give back to their Pembroke community in a positive way.
Site leaders are student volunteers that assist Community & Civic Engagement in overseeing volunteers at service sites.
The responsibilities are as followed:
- Attend a mandatory onboarding date, TBD.
- Facilitate meaningful reflection upon completing the service project
- Assist with greeting and check-in day of
- Be flexible if sites and volunteers should change
- Communicate effectively and lead by example
NOTE: There will be 2 site leaders for each site.
All site leaders are required to show up at Community & Civic Engagement at 8:00 a.m. to prepare for check-in & then you will be dispersed to the opportunity that you have chosen at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with your volunteers.
