Description

The Department of American Indian Studies is seeking dedicated volunteers to help make the 17th Annual Honoring Native Foodways event a success this fall. This celebration brings together the campus and local community to honor Native culinary traditions, highlight healthy Indigenous foods, and enjoy a day of learning, connection, and culture.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Event set-up and clean-up

  • Guest check-in and welcome station

  • Directing participants to event activities

  • Serving and restocking food stations throughout the event

All volunteers will receive detailed instructions and assignments after signing up. This is a meaningful opportunity to support cultural programming at UNCP, gain service hours, and connect with the campus and local community
