Volunteer: Social Media and Public Outreach Coordinator

Since our agency is fairly new, we are looking for a talented Social Media and Public Outreach Coordinator to create and maintain a strong online and public presence for our company. Your role would be to help implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts and for public awareness of our company.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These are some of the items that the person will be helping with: 

1. Create engaging text, image and video content for social media and for presentations in the community and online

2. Generate, edit, publish and share content- at least once a week-(original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action

3. Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

4.Assist in developing social media outreach to educate the public on services offered by company

5. Assist in developing strategies for the promotion of EMB, including identifying target audiences and the most effective methods of reaching them.

6.Utilize social media to reach target audiences, distributes direct mail and email promotions, and develops other web-based promotions.

7. Measure web traffic and monitor SEO

8. Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans

9. Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics

10.Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.

Required:

Demonstrated ability with social media marketing and promotional strategies A strong sense of aesthetics for social media and outreach Expertise in multiple social media platforms Some knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies  Excellent communication skills Multitasking and analytical skills Knowledge of layout and design for print and web-based promotional materials Ability to be flexible and adaptable in order to contribute to problem-solving activities within a growing, changing organization. Ability to act in a tactful and diplomatic manner and work on sensitive issues with diverse groups of individuals
