Saturday, July 18, at Lumber River State Park, Princess Anne Access Area, 2819 Princess Anne Road, Orrum, NC. Free canoe rides; educational booths and wildlife exhibits; arts and crafts vendors; kids fishing and casting contests; kids wet t-shirt race; live music; bouncy castle, inflatable slide, and train rides; door prizes for the kids, including donated bicycles, and much more. Food and ice cream vendors available, or bring your picnic and enjoy lunch beside the beautiful Lumber River.
THIS FESTIVAL IS PROVIDED TO RECOGNIZE THAT THE LUMBER RIVER HAS BEEN SELECTED BY "LAND FOR TOMORROW" AS ONE OF THE 10 BEST NATURAL RESOURCES IN NORTH CAROLINA, AND TO HELP OUR LOCAL CITIZENS LEARN MORE ABOUT THE RIVER AND THE STATE PARK.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED, AND TELL YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS ABOUT THE FESTIVAL.
