Play in the live-action Hunger Games!
WELCOME, WELCOME!
Adapted from the Hunger Games movie series, participants called "tributes," fight to the death in a dangerous public arena. Okay, not really... tributes play a series of action packed field games full of fun and mess! The winning tribute and his or her district are then rewarded with food, supplies, and riches (okay... more like you get your name engraved into a fancy trophy and bragging rights). This live-action game will serve as a way to bring awareness of food insecurity on our campus while getting the help from the campus body to contribute to the services of the CARE Resource Center.
How to Participate
Register your department, student organization, or residence hall here: District Registration Form (closes March 31st,2017)
Identify TWO tributes to play in the games when you register.
Once registered, your DISTRICT can support your tributes by donating non-perishable food items to the CARE RESOURCE CENTER during operation hours.
The 12 DISTRICTS that have the most amount of items donated will play in the games.
Make your donation count:
The district with the most amount of items listed for the specified round will gain an advantage for that round.
Round One: Grains - Oatmeal, Cereal, Rice, Grits, Spaghetti, etc.
Round Two: Fruits - Canned: Peaches, Pineapples, mixed Fruits, etc.
Round Three: Proteins - Canned: Tuna, Vienna Sausages, Spam, Beef Jerky, etc.
Round Four: Drinks - Water, Sodas, Juice, etc.
Round Five: Vegetables - Corn, Carrots, String Beans, Tomatoes, etc.
Round Six: Soups - Various canned soups.
Round Seven: Miscellaneous -Chips, Fruit Snacks, Etc.
Round eight: Most items donated at the arena (April 19th on the Quad)
Rounds 9 & 10: Will not be given advantages.
