Disaster Preparedness Week Schedule:

Tuesday, September 5th | UC Mall | 10am-2pm

To kick off Disaster Preparedness Week we will be starting with "Let's Make a Plan #PlanAhead". Promoting awareness and education on the safest evacuation routes on UNCP's campus during a disaster.

Wednesday, September 6th | UC Mall | 10am-2pm

Ever wondered what items would be most essential during a natural disaster? Well worry no more, presenting the Grab-n-Go. All the basic items needed for your Emergency Starter Kit will be displayed!

Thursday, September 7th | UC Mall | 10:45-11:30  #HAWKDAY

Come & personally sign up for UNCP’s 1st Disaster Preparedness & Relief Fair and Day of Service on Saturday, September 9th. Below are more detail regarding the event!

Saturday, September 9th | Pembroke Park | 11:00 - 2:00 

Join us on Saturday, September 9th for the Disaster Preparedness & Relief Fair at the Pembroke Town Park (across the street from the jumbotron sign & beside burger king).  

Between 11:00am to 2:00pm the event is open to everyone to Honor First Responders such as EMT, Police & Fire Department, and community vendors will be sit up to display the different ways they assist individuals when affected by a disaster. Free food & entertainment will be available!


9/11 Week of Service

Collecting Monetary Donations for Hurricane Harvey victims

Hurricane Harvey has caused an unprecedented amount of flooding in Texas, and continues to threaten Southwest Louisiana. 

During UNCP's Disaster Preparedness Week events, our student staff will be collecting monetary donations for Hurricane Harvey victims. These donations will be used to support agencies like Second Harvest Food Bank to help the victims of this historic storm.   For more information on how to get involved or to donate online click the following links:

Donation Drop Off for Hurricane Harvey victims

The UNCP CARE Center will serve as a drop-off location for donations to support the efforts linked below. Accepted items include non-perishable food, water, toiletry items, toilet paper, feminine products, diaper, wipes, etc. No clothing will be accepted.

The CARE Center is located in Wellons Hall Suite C
