My name is Anesu Mavhiya, a Junior here at UNCP majoring in Political Science in Public Policy Administration. My role at Community & Civic Engagement is to come up with initiatives for international students' outreach and engagement. I have had the privilege of working with CCE since my freshman year. My first job was to work with the voter's coalition, UNCP Votes. Advocating for student engagement is my passion and CCE has given me the space and opportunity to do just that. I believe student engagement is what makes the college experience; not only do you get to make memories but, you also get to discover yourself and what you want to be. It helps you network and grow in many aspects. My advice to every student is that it is never too late to be part of something and engagement is the way to go.
